Dealing with discipline and underperformance can be challenging and confronting for employees and employers alike, but it does need to be addressed.
In the world of work, managing underperforming employees and handling conduct related matters is part of the job! This workshop will in particular look at:
- Managing the underperformer.
- Handling different types of misconduct issues that require various disciplinary outcomes up to and including dismissal.
- Addressing the complexity of handling grievances raised during a disciplinary process.
NI is different from the rest of the UK in this area. We have repealed the Statutory Grievance Procedures but have retained the Statutory Disciplinary and Dismissal Procedures. Our revised LRA Code of Practice on Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures carries penalties of up to 50% for breaches of its standards.
This event will put underperformance, discipline/dismissal into a legal and contractual context, giving attendees a fuller understanding of the revised best practice requirements of the Code.
